Auditing Assets
An asset audit verifies that assets are where they should be and in the expected condition. Asset Manager helps you plan, execute, and report on audits.
Running an Audit
- From the asset list, select one or more assets, then click Audit in the toolbar.
- Fill in the audit form:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Audit Date | The date the audit was performed |
| Status | Update the asset's status if needed (optional) |
| Location | Confirm or update the asset's location |
| Condition | Record the asset's current condition |
| Comments | Any observations or notes |
- On the right side, scan or search for additional assets to add to the audit list.
- Click Audit to record the audit.
Scanning makes audits faster
Use the search field to scan asset barcodes one after another. Each scanned asset is automatically added to the audit list, letting you move through a room quickly.
Audit Settings on the Asset Record
Each asset has two audit-related settings on its Details tab:
- Date Audited — Shows the date of the last audit (read-only, updated automatically when an audit is recorded).
- Include In Audit — A toggle that controls whether the asset appears in audit checklists and the Audit Checklist report. Turn this off for assets you don't need to physically verify (e.g., disposed items).
Audit Reports
Use the Reports section to generate audit-related reports:
- Audit Checklist — A printable list of assets due for audit, grouped and filtered by your criteria. Use this as a walkthrough sheet during a physical audit.
Mobile Audits
For warehouse or facility walk-throughs, use the barcode scanner on your phone. Scan each asset as you find it to record the audit in real time.
