Service and Maintenance
The Service tab on an asset record helps you schedule recurring maintenance and keep a log of completed service work. This tab is available for individual assets only (not bulk assets).
Service Schedule
The service schedule defines recurring maintenance tasks for the asset.
Adding a Schedule Entry
- Open the asset and click the Service tab.
- Click New in the Service Schedule toolbar.
- Enter the schedule details:
- Description — What the service involves (e.g., "Annual safety inspection").
- Frequency — How often the service should be performed.
- Due Date — When the next service is due.
- Save the entry.
Completing Scheduled Service
When a scheduled service is performed:
- Select one or more schedule entries using the checkboxes.
- Click Complete.
- Confirm the completion. The Last Completed date updates automatically, and the next due date is recalculated based on the frequency.
Deleting Schedule Entries
Select entries and click Delete to remove them from the schedule.
Service Log
The service log is a chronological record of all service work performed on the asset — both scheduled and unscheduled.
Adding a Log Entry
- Click the Service Log sub-tab.
- Click New.
- Enter the Service Date and Description of the work performed.
- Save the entry.
Deleting Log Entries
Select entries and click Delete to remove them.
Service Reports
The Reports section includes four service-focused reports:
| Report | Description |
|---|---|
| Service Schedule | All upcoming scheduled service across your assets |
| Upcoming Service | Service due within a specified period |
| Overdue Service | Service that is past its due date |
| Completed Service | A history of completed service work |
Overdue service
Assets with overdue service appear in the Overdue Service report. Review this report regularly to ensure maintenance doesn't fall behind schedule.
